Pete Townshend’s LIFE HOUSE Graphic Novel - Signed by Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey
An original graphic novel based on Pete Townshend’s 1970 screenplay LIFE HOUSE, this iconic story was the birthplace of The Who’s 1971 global bestselling album, Who’s Next. The story takes place in a future world in which music has been outlawed. A small band of idealistic rebels seek to defy the tyrannical leader, Jumbo 7, and free Britain and all of humanity by staging a spiritual concert at a secret underground venue known as the Life House.
Based on the scripts and writing of Pete Townshend, this original 172 page graphic novel is written by James Harvey and David Hine (co-creator, Spider-Man Noir) with art by Harvey and Australian visual artist, Max Prentis. Additionally, the book was edited by former Bleeding Cool Editor-In-Chief, Hannah Means-Shannon with letters by Micah Myers and inks by Eisner Award winner, Mick Gray.
Townshend envisioned this sci-if epic, as a follow up rock opera to The Who’s smash hit, “Tommy.” While the story concept for LIFE HOUSE was put aside in favor of “Who’s Next,” songs like “Baba O’Riley,” “Won’t Get Fooled Again,” and “Behind Blue Eyes” find their rightful place after more than 50 years as part of then story in LIFE HOUSE.
Signed limited edition of the LIFE HOUSE graphic novel is available and limited to 1,000 units while supplies last.
